Yeast Hulls (sometimes called Yeast Ghosts) consist of the insoluble fractions of whole yeast cells. They supply lipids and sterols to the fermenting yeast and will adsorb fatty acids which may contribute to sluggish fermentations. Normal usage is 1 tsp per gallon.  (Do not overdose, as off flavors and odors may occur).
