A low-foaming, quick fermenter that works well between about 55 and 85 degrees F. This strain enhances mouthfeel, and malo-lactic fermentations proceed well in wines made with it. ICV D-47 is recommended for whites and blush or rose wines, and is an excellent choice for mead makers. (However, mead makers should be sure to supplement with yeast nutrients for the best results.)
