The traditional and very popular English aroma hop. Developed in 1790. Soft, earthy, vaguely farm-like aroma. Widely cultivated. Called East Kent Goldings if grown in East Kent, Kent Goldings if grown in mid-Kent, and Goldings if grown elsewhere. (Typical Analysis — Alpha acid: 4 – 5.5%)
(Please note that the typical analysis reflects the average alpha and beta values according to our hop growers/suppliers. Actual values can vary from one batch lot to the next. We provide these values for reference only. If bitterness is critical to your particular recipe we suggest that you order slightly more hops than your recipe calls for (to overcome any potential variance in the actual bitterness of our current batch lot). Alternatively, feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail to determine the exact alpha acid values for the hops you intend to order.)
